This project involved the logo design for Dynamic Building Technology, a company specialising in innovative building materials with integrated tech components. The objective was to establish a visual identity that felt strong, modern, and reflective of the brand’s forward-looking and structural emphasis.
In the absence of an existing brand system, the logo needed to stand independently, conveying the brand’s essence through its initials. Three distinct logo concepts were explored, each drawing on visual cues from either architectural forms or technological motifs to shape the “DBT” letterforms. The intent was to communicate the brand’s core attributes of strength, precision, and innovation, while offering flexible visual directions for future brand development.
The design process began with hand-drawn concept sketches, followed by digital refinement in Illustrator. This included adjusting shape proportions, testing legibility at various scales, and considering how the mark might function across both digital and physical applications such as signage, packaging, and office stationery.
The project served as a focused exercise in conveying brand meaning through minimal form. In the absence of a broader identity system, emphasis was placed on expressing personality through shape, rhythm, and proportion, resulting in a mark designed to be both distinctive and adaptable as the foundation of a future brand identity.
