Unee is a modern gift card brand developed in partnership with China UnionPay, aimed at making everyday gifting feel effortless and expressive. Designed for a younger audience, the brand offers both digital and physical cards across online and retail channels—blending playful aesthetics with the reliability of a global payment system.
From the outset, the goal was to establish a brand that felt vibrant, clear, and easy to engage with. A high-saturation colour palette was introduced to attract attention and convey energy, while the logo and typography were designed to remain clean and adaptable. The visual system was built to scale—from packaging to digital UI—ensuring consistency and intentionality across all touchpoints.
The user experience was crafted to be fast, intuitive, and personal. The payment flow was optimised by reducing friction points and incorporating clear call-to-actions, resulting in a smoother checkout. Multiple card designs were introduced to enhance personalisation and user choice.
Two website versions were created to meet different user needs: one bright and playful for everyday users, and another more refined for business clients. Each interface was designed to suit its audience, while maintaining a unified brand experience.
The design process involved close collaboration with front-end developers to ensure a seamless transition from concept to implementation. Figma and Adobe Creative Suite were used to translate visual systems into responsive, scalable interfaces. This project reinforced the importance of thoughtful, cross-functional collaboration in delivering a cohesive and engaging user experience.
