Walletio is a digital platform for trading precious metals, providing users with a straightforward way to buy and sell gold, silver, and platinum directly via mobile devices. In addition to real-time price tracking and transactional features, the app includes wallet and virtual card functionality, as well as an online store offering jewellery and collectible accessories. Designed with everyday users in mind, Walletio integrates finance, shopping, and digital convenience into a single, seamless experience.
Responsibilities on this project included designing the app interface, producing the user manual, and creating the visual identity for both physical and virtual cards. Wireframes and prototypes were developed using Figma, with Adobe tools supporting the creation of visual assets and documentation. Collaboration with product managers, front-end developers, and regular alignment with the project manager ensured that design outputs remained in step with functionality and overall project flow.
A primary challenge involved simplifying the intricate flow of precious metal trading. To address domain-specific complexity, close coordination with the team helped build a clearer understanding of the trading logic, enabling a user journey that remained complete while being more accessible. User research revealed that over 50% of users were aged 25–34, which informed a visual direction that was cleaner, younger, and more aligned with modern digital expectations.
The project offered valuable experience in translating complex domain requirements into an intuitive, user-centred design. It also underscored the importance of collaborative problem-solving, particularly in financial applications, where clarity, trust, and usability are fundamental to a successful user experience.
